Does Intel Have Integrated Graphics? [Here’s The Answer]

If you don’t have a graphics card or are looking to buy one in the future, then buying a CPU that supports integrated graphics is probably a good idea.

Not all CPUs have integrated graphics, so you should know how to tell the difference between a normal CPU and one with integrated graphics.

So, Does Intel Have Integrated Graphics?

Most of the newest CPU versions of Intel have Integrated graphics, but there are some CPUs of Intel like Xeons, Celeron, and others that don’t have any Integrated graphics. The best way to identify with its code of “K” means Unlocked for overclocking with integrated GPU; “F” means no Integrated GPU & no overclocking; next, “KF” means unlock for overclocking without Integrated GPU.

“none,” meaning it has Integrated GPU but is not unlocked for Overclocking. Read more about particular versions below.

Does Intel i7 Have Integrated Graphics?

Yes, Intel i7 processors have integrated graphics with the caveat that not all i7 processors have in-built or integrated graphics. We will talk about all the Intel i7 processors available as part of the complete range of the i7 processors family.

As of February 2022, there are 109 processors in the Intel i7 family of core processors. These processors belong to different generations. These i7 processors start from the fourth generation and go up to the twelfth generation processors.

The latest generation is the 12th generation of i7 processors, while the oldest generation is the fourth generation of i7 processors.

A fair number of Intel i7 processors support integrated graphics. However, there are a few exceptions too. Some i7 processors do not support integrated graphics, or one should say that these processors do not come with integrated graphics.

Does Intel i5 Have Integrated Graphics?

Like many other chips in the Intel 10th Generation stack, the Core i5-10400 includes an Intel UHD Graphics 630 integrated graphics processor (IGP).

The Intel Core i5-10400 rests right around the cusp of where Intel stops, including its stock coolers bundled in the box, and at this price point, including one makes sense.

This is not an overclocking CPU, so the fan in the box should suffice for almost everyone. At least everyone who doesn’t have to look at this now old-school design through a clear case window.

Does Intel i3 Have Integrated Graphics?

Graphically, the Core i3-10100 uses the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 chipset, which has a base frequency of 350 MHz and a dynamic frequency of 1.1 GHz. A thermal solution is included, and a limited 3-year warranty provides protection.

The Core i3-10100 3.6 GHz Quad-Core LGA 1200 Processor from Intel has a base clock speed of 3.6 GHz and features such as Intel Optane Memory support, Intel Boot Guard, Intel VT-d virtualization technology for directed I/O, and Intel Hyper-Threading technology.

With Intel Turbo Boost 2.0, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 4.3 GHz.

This processor also features 4 cores with 8 threads in an LGA 1200 socket, 6MB of cache memory, and 16 PCIe lanes.

Having 4 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system. In contrast, the 8 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core.

This processor supports 128GB of dual-channel 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM and utilizes 10th-generation technology.

Does Intel Xeon Have Integrated Graphics?

Generally no. These processors are generally not built for situations where you want to or are okay with integrated graphics. Consider that discrete graphics are always higher quality (unless you’re comparing an ancient and low-end GPU to a cutting-edge high-end iGPU), and consider that it saves on the heat on your CPU to have a card.

However, the E3 v5 series did have integrated graphics, probably because it’s entry-level, and Intel could conceive of a situation where someone could afford an E3 and wouldn’t want/need to buy a GPU. Intel® Xeon® Processors for Graphic Intensive Processing.

Since most Intel Xeon CPUs lack an integrated GPU, systems built with those processors require a discrete graphics card or a separate GPU if computer monitor output is desired.

Intel® Xeon® Processors E5 v2 has no integrated graphics. The graphics are handled by onboard graphics (integrated within the server system’s motherboard) or by discrete graphics (add-in 3rd-party graphics card that has been added to the server system).

Does Intel Pentium Have Integrated Graphics?

The Intel Pentium processor is a Central Processing Unit (CPU), not a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Most Pentiums were sold with what’s called Intel Integrated Graphics, meaning that there was an Intel-produced graphics chip on the motherboard that did the graphics processing for gaming, photo editing, and other tasks.

On these systems, the GPU shared the system memory with the CPU, which depended on what the motherboard maker wanted to provide to the GPU in terms of memory.

In general, integrated graphics are the norm on most mass-produced computers and motherboards and are not up to the task of high-end gaming, video production/rendering, animation, and other graphics-heavy tasks.

They may be able to do them, but it will be an unbearable performance or amount of time for the task to complete.

So, there is no graphics card in an Intel Pentium processor if the system states it has an integrated or third-party graphics solution. The Intel Pentium III 1000 was a desktop processor with 1 core, launched in June 2001.

It is part of the Pentium III lineup, using the Coppermine T architecture with Socket 370. This processor does not have integrated graphics; you need a separate graphics card. Many games will refuse to start on this processor due to the lack of the SSE2/SSE3/SSE4 instruction set.

Does Intel i9 Have Integrated Graphics?

The Intel Core i9-9900K is a high-end desktop processor based on the Coffee Lake architecture. Yes, it has an inbuilt integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics card clocked at up to 1.2 GHz and offers no advantage compared to previous generations.

As it is a very low-end GPU, only some low-demanding games like Hearthstone can be played with it (see GPU page for benchmarks).

Does Intel Celeron Have Integrated Graphics?

Most Intel Celeron have Integrated Graphics that don’t have IGPU. Intel Celeron processors are built for performance and value you can count on for affordable entry-level PCs and portable devices.

Intel® Celeron® processors feature Intel® UHD graphics for 4kHDR video playback and gaming in 720p. The Intel® Graphics Command Center allows for easy fine-tuning of graphics and settings.
